Indications
Macrozit is an antibiotic indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections. It is used in the treatment of respiratory tract infections, such as pharyngitis and tonsillitis, as well as skin and soft tissue infections. It is also used in the treatment of sexually transmitted infections, such as urethritis and cervicitis. Its mechanism of action is based on the inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis, which results in the elimination of susceptible bacteria.
Composition
Each Macrozit tablet contains 500 mg of Azithromycin as the active ingredient, as well as excipients necessary for the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Macrozit is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Azithromycin, to any macrolide, or to any of the excipients that make up the product. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe liver problems or in those who have experienced severe adverse reactions to other antibiotics of the same class.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Macrozit in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease, as well as in those who are being treated with other medications that may interact with Azithromycin. It is important to follow medical instructions and not self-medicate. Its use should be avoided in cases of severe renal insufficiency.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
