Indications

Lyumjev is a medication indicated for the treatment of type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults and children. Its main function is to help control blood glucose levels, providing a rapid action in the management of postprandial hyperglycemia. It is especially useful in people who require precise glucose control after meals, allowing them to adapt to different lifestyles and eating schedules. Its use is recommended in combination with other oral antidiabetics or long-acting insulins according to the patient's individual needs.

Composition

Each Lyumjev prefilled pen contains insulin lispro as the active ingredient. The concentration of insulin lispro is 100 units per milliliter. In addition, it contains excipients that facilitate its formulation and stability, ensuring the effectiveness of the treatment.

Contraindications

Lyumjev is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to insulin lispro or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in episodes of hypoglycemia or in patients who present health conditions that compromise their responsiveness to insulin.

Precautions

Precautions should be taken in patients with kidney or liver diseases, as well as in those who experience recurrent episodes of hypoglycemia. It is essential to monitor blood glucose levels regularly and adjust the insulin dose as needed. Patients are advised to inform their doctor about any changes in their health status or medical treatment.

Storage

Lyumjev should be stored refrigerated at a temperature of 2 to 8 degrees Celsius. Do not freeze. Once in use, it can be stored at room temperature (not exceeding 30 degrees Celsius) and must be used within 28 days. Keep out of reach of children.
