Indications

Luvox (Fluvoxamine) is indicated for the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) in adults and children over 8 years of age. It is also used in the management of major depression and in the treatment of anxiety disorders, including social anxiety disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. Fluvoxamine acts as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), which helps to increase serotonin levels in the brain, thereby improving mood and reducing anxiety.

Composition

Each tablet contains 100 mg of fluvoxamine, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and administration. It is important to read the leaflet to know all the components.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to fluvoxamine or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or in those with a history of serotonin syndrome.
