Indications

Lozam (Lorazepam) is indicated for the treatment of anxiety disorders, as well as for the management of symptoms related to insomnia. It is also used in anesthetic premedication and in the treatment of agitation states. Its sedative and anxiolytic action makes it a suitable option for the relief of anxiety and emotional tension. Furthermore, it can be used in the management of convulsive disorders such as status epilepticus. Its use is recommended under strict medical supervision, adjusting the dosage according to the patient's needs and response to treatment.

Composition

Each Lozam tablet contains 2 mg of lorazepam as active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate the formulation of the medicine.

Contraindications

Lozam is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to lorazepam or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in patients with severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, respiratory or severe insufficiency, and in those with a history of substance abuse. Its use during pregnancy and lactation should be carefully evaluated by a doctor.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of depression, liver or kidney diseases, and in those who are being treated with other drugs that may affect the central nervous system function. Monitoring for signs of dependence is recommended, especially in prolonged treatments. Use in the elderly should be evaluated and adjusted due to increased sensitivity to sedative effects.

Store at room temperature, in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
