Indications
Lozam (Lorazepam) is indicated for the treatment of anxiety disorders, which may include generalized anxiety disorder and acute anxiety episodes. It is also used in the management of symptoms associated with insomnia, as well as in premedication for surgical and diagnostic procedures where an anxiolytic sedation is required. Lorazepam acts as an anxiolytic agent, providing short-term relief and facilitating muscle relaxation. Its use must be supervised by a physician, considering the duration and appropriate doses for each patient.
Composition
Each Lozam tablet contains 1 mg of lorazepam as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients suitable for tablet formulation.
Contraindications
The use of Lozam is not recommended in patients with known hypersensitivity to lorazepam or any component of the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome, myasthenia gravis, and those with severe respiratory insufficiency. Its use during pregnancy and lactation should be carefully evaluated, considering the potential risks to the fetus or infant.
Precautions
Special care should be taken in patients with a history of substance abuse, depression, or liver diseases. Prolonged use can lead to physical and psychological dependence. It is recommended to avoid combination with other central nervous system depressants, as it may increase sedative effects. Use in elderly individuals without adequate supervision is not advised, due to an increased risk of falls and confusion.

Store the product in its original packaging, at room temperature (between 15°C and 30°C), protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
