Indications
Loventrax (Rivaroxaban) is indicated for the prevention of venous thromboembolism in patients undergoing hip or knee replacement surgery. It is also used in the treatment and prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), as well as in reducing the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation. Furthermore, it can be used for the prevention of thromboembolic events in patients with a history of deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism.
Composition
Each tablet contains 20 mg of Rivaroxaban as the active ingredient. Excipients include lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, and silicon dioxide.
Contraindications
Loventrax is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Rivaroxaban or any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with clinically significant bleeding, severe hepatic impairment, and in those who are concomitantly receiving other oral anticoagulants, with the exception of low molecular weight, as indicated. Its use during pregnancy and lactation is contraindicated.
Precautions
It should be used with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding, uncontrolled hypertension, or in those undergoing invasive procedures. Adequate monitoring of renal function is important in elderly patients or those with comorbidities that may affect renal function.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C. Keep the product in its original packaging and out of reach of children.
