Indications
Logimax is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension. Its combination of felodipine, a calcium channel blocker, and metoprolol, a beta-blocker, acts synergistically to reduce blood pressure and improve cardiovascular health. This medication can be used in patients with hypertension who have not achieved adequate blood pressure control with monotherapy, as well as in those at risk of cardiovascular disease, such as patients with a history of heart attack or angina.
Composition
Each Logimax tablet contains:
- Felodipine: 5 mg
- Metoprolol: 47.5 mg
Contraindications
Logimax is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formulation, as well as in those with severe bradycardia, second or third-degree atrioventricular block, decompensated heart failure, and cardiogenic shock. Its use is not recommended in patients with untreated pheochromocytoma and in those with severe chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of asthma, diabetes, liver disease, or those receiving treatment with other antihypertensives. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and heart rate is recommended during treatment. In case of adverse symptoms, a doctor should be consulted immediately.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
