Indications

Lodarta is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. This medication combines three molecules with complementary properties: Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, which helps lower vascular resistance; Losartan, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, which helps reduce blood pressure by inhibiting the effects of angiotensin, and Rosuvastatin, an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, which helps lower LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels in patients with dyslipidemia. This medication can be used in patients with hypertension and hypercholesterolemia, as part of a comprehensive approach that includes lifestyle changes.

Composition

Each Lodarta tablet contains: Amlodipine 5 mg, Losartan 100 mg, and Rosuvastatin 20 mg.

Contraindications

Lodarta is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the medication, as well as in those with a history of angioedema related to previous treatment with ACE inhibitors. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe hepatic impairment or in those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with renal insufficiency, liver disease, cardiovascular diseases, or a history of angioedema. It is important to monitor blood pressure and cholesterol levels during treatment. Renal function should be evaluated before starting treatment and periodically throughout.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
