Indications
Locoid Cream 1% is indicated for the treatment of various dermatological conditions that require the anti-inflammatory and antipruritic action of hydrocortisone. This medication is useful in the management of atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, and other inflammatory skin conditions. Its topical application helps reduce inflammation, redness, and itching associated with these conditions. It is recommended for use on affected skin areas, following the doctor's instructions and avoiding contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
Composition
Each 100 g of Locoid Cream contains: 1 g of hydrocortisone as the active ingredient. Excipients: purified water, lanolin, cetyl alcohol, propylene glycol, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to hydrocortisone or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in active viral, bacterial, or fungal skin infections, nor in ulcerated lesions or in areas of skin with rosacea.
Precautions
It is important to use Locoid Cream with caution in patients with a history of skin infections, diabetes, and those undergoing prolonged corticosteroid treatments. Its use should be avoided over large areas of skin and in children under 2 years of age, unless otherwise directed by a physician. During treatment, any signs of irritation or sensitization should be observed.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
