Indications
Lobuxal is indicated for the treatment of neuropathic pain in adults, as well as for the management of fibromyalgia. The combination of pregabalin and tramadol acts synergistically, providing an effective analgesic effect in patients suffering from chronic painful conditions. This medication can be used in patients who require treatment for moderate to severe pain, where other therapies have not been effective. Furthermore, it is important to mention that pregabalin is also used in the management of generalized anxiety disorders, which can be beneficial in patients who present concomitant anxiety symptoms along with chronic pain.
Composition
Each Lobuxal tablet contains:
- Pregabalin: 75 mg
- Tramadol: 50 mg
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. In addition, it should not be administered to patients who are being treated with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or those with a history of opioid addiction or related disorders. Its use in pediatrics has not been established and should be avoided in this population group.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of seizures, renal insufficiency, or those who consume alcohol or medications that depress the central nervous system. The patient's condition should be monitored during treatment and the dose adjusted according to clinical response. Likewise, it is essential to avoid abrupt discontinuation of therapy to prevent adverse effects.
