Indications

Lipidil is indicated for the treatment of dyslipidemias, including hypercholesterolemia and/or hypertriglyceridemia. It is used in patients with elevated blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels when diet and other lifestyle changes have not been sufficient to control these conditions. Fenofibrate works by reducing lipid levels in the blood, which can lower the risk of cardiovascular diseases in patients with risk factors. Its use is recommended in combination with a low-fat diet and as part of a comprehensive approach to managing dyslipidemias.

Composition

Each Lipidil tablet contains 200 mg of fenofibrate as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that aid in the formulation and stability of the medication.

Contraindications

Lipidil is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to fenofibrate or any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in cases of active liver disease, severe renal insufficiency, and in patients with gallbladder disease. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women, unless deemed necessary by the physician.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease, as well as in those with a history of pancreatitis. Regular monitoring of liver and kidney function tests is important during treatment. Additionally, interaction with other medications that may affect lipid levels or liver function should be considered.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
