Indications
Lincocin Syrup is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to lincomycin. It is effective in the treatment of upper and lower respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, as well as dental infections. This medication is used in patients who cannot receive penicillins, serving as a therapeutic option in cases of allergy to these antibiotics. It is important that the use of Lincocin is based on the sensitivity of the microorganism causing the infection, as well as on the patient's clinical evaluation.
Composition
Each 5 ml of Lincocin Syrup contains 250 mg of lincomycin (as lincomycin hydrochloride) and excipients necessary for the syrup formulation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to lincomycin or to any component of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of antibiotic-associated colitis, as well as in those with severe liver diseases.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Lincocin in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disease, especially colitis. Likewise, it is recommended to monitor liver and kidney function during treatment. In case of severe or persistent diarrhea, treatment discontinuation and appropriate medical evaluation should be considered. This medication may cause adverse effects that require immediate medical attention, such as allergic reactions.

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
