Indications
Limbik (Risperidone) is indicated for the treatment of psychotic disorders, including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Its use is appropriate for the management of symptoms such as hallucinations, delusions, thought disorganization, and agitated behavior. It is also used in the treatment of irritability associated with autism in children and adolescents. Risperidone acts on dopamine and serotonin receptors, contributing to mood stabilization and the reduction of psychotic symptoms.
Composition
Each Limbik tablet contains 2 mg of risperidone as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to risperidone or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use should also be avoided in patients with a history of neuroleptic malignant syndrome and those with severe central nervous system depression.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, liver or kidney diseases, as well as those with a history of seizures. Continuous medical monitoring is important during treatment to adjust the dose as needed and monitor for possible adverse effects.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
