Indications
Libonide is indicated for the treatment and control of respiratory diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This medication acts as a corticosteroid that helps reduce inflammation in the airways, facilitating breathing and improving lung function. Its use is recommended in patients requiring long-term management of these conditions, as well as in those presenting acute episodes of wheezing or respiratory distress. The use of Budesonide may be considered in combination with other treatments for more effective control of respiratory symptoms.
Composition
Each Libonide ampoule contains 0.500 mg of Budesonide as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that facilitate its formulation and administration.
Contraindications
Libonide is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Budesonide or any component of the formulation. Its use should be avoided in patients with untreated respiratory infections or in situations where corticosteroid administration is not indicated. It is not recommended in cases of active tuberculosis.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Libonide to patients with chronic infections, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, or cardiovascular diseases. It is advisable to monitor respiratory function and treatment response, adjusting the dose as needed. Additionally, the risk of systemic effects when using inhaled corticosteroids should be considered, especially at high doses and during prolonged treatments.
Storage
Store in its original packaging at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
