Indications

Lertus Cd is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe pain, such as that which may occur in various clinical conditions, including postoperative pain, pain related to musculoskeletal injuries, and headaches. The combination of diclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, and codeine, an opioid analgesic, allows for a synergistic effect that improves pain control. Additionally, it can be used in the management of pain associated with inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, where effective pain and inflammation management is required.

Composition

Each Lertus Cd tablet contains:

  • Diclofenac sodium: 50 mg
  • Codeine phosphate: 50 mg

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to diclofenac, codeine, or any other component of the formula. It should not be administered in cases of active peptic ulcers, bleeding disorders, severe hepatic and renal insufficiency, as well as during the third trimester of pregnancy.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of asthma, cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, or gastrointestinal disorders. Monitoring is recommended in elderly patients or those receiving other medications that may potentiate adverse effects. Prolonged use may lead to physical dependence and tolerance due to the codeine content.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
