Indications
Leptopsique (Perphenazine) is indicated for the treatment of psychotic disorders, such as schizophrenia and other mental disorders characterized by symptoms like hallucinations, delusions, and thought disorganization. This medication acts as an antipsychotic, helping to restore chemical balance in the brain. It can also be used in the treatment of severe anxiety and agitation. It is essential that the use of this medication be supervised by a physician, who will determine the dose and duration of treatment according to the patient's needs.
Composition
Each Leptopsique tablet contains 4 mg of Perphenazine as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that facilitate the formulation and stability of the medication.
Contraindications
Leptopsique is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Perphenazine or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered in cases of coma, central nervous system depression, Parkinson's disease, or in patients receiving treatment with other antipsychotics or medications that may cause similar adverse effects.
Precautions
Caution is recommended for use in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases, hepatic or renal disorders. Constant monitoring is important in elderly patients or those who are more susceptible to side effects. The use of alcohol and other central nervous system depressants should be avoided during treatment.
