Indications
Laxoya is indicated for the treatment of occasional constipation. The combination of sennosides and docusate sodium acts synergistically, facilitating bowel movements. Sennosides are plant-derived laxatives that stimulate intestinal activity, while docusate sodium acts as a stool softener, helping to soften stools and facilitate their passage. This medication is suitable for patients who have difficulty evacuating, as well as for those who require temporary relief from constipation.
Composition
Each Laxoya tablet contains: - Sennosides: 8.6 mg - Docusate sodium: 50 mg.
Contraindications
Laxoya is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered in cases of intestinal obstruction, irritable bowel syndrome, or in patients with active inflammatory bowel disease. Its use in children under 12 years of age is not recommended without medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases or who are using other laxatives. Medical follow-up is recommended if symptoms persist after 7 days of treatment. Prolonged use of laxatives is not recommended, as it can lead to dependence or alterations in intestinal function.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
