Indications

Lasix (Furosemide) is indicated for the treatment of various conditions that require the elimination of excess fluid from the body. Its use is common in patients with edema associated with congestive heart failure, hepatic cirrhosis, and kidney diseases. Additionally, it is used in the management of arterial hypertension, especially in cases where other antihypertensives have not been effective. Furosemide is also used in emergency situations, such as in the treatment of acute pulmonary edema, where rapid fluid elimination is essential for patient stability.

Composition

Each Lasix ampoule contains 20 mg of furosemide as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its administration and stability.

Contraindications

Lasix is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to furosemide or any other component of the formula. It should not be administered in cases of anuria, severe dehydration, or hypovolemia, and should be used with caution in patients with a history of gout or renal dysfunction.
