Indications
Lasilacton is indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure and for the management of fluid retention in conditions such as congestive heart failure, hepatic cirrhosis, and nephrotic syndrome. The combination of furosemide, a loop diuretic, and spironolactone, a potassium-sparing diuretic, allows for a synergistic effect that helps improve the elimination of fluids from the body, while minimizing the loss of potassium, an essential electrolyte.
Composition
Each Lasilacton tablet contains:
- Furosemide: 20 mg
- Spironolactone: 50 mg
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the components of the formula, in those with anuria, and in cases of acute or severe renal failure. It should not be administered to patients with hyperkalemia or who are receiving other potassium-sparing diuretics, as well as in the presence of Addison's disease.
Precautions
Patients should be monitored regularly to assess electrolyte levels, especially potassium and sodium. Special care should be taken in patients with a history of kidney disease, diabetes mellitus, or those taking medications that may affect electrolyte balance. Dose adjustment is recommended in the elderly and in those with renal impairment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
