Indications

Lamisil cream is indicated for the treatment of dermal infections caused by fungi, such as: dermatophytosis (fungal infections affecting the skin, hair, and nails), tinea corporis, tinea cruris, and athlete's foot. In addition, it is effective in the treatment of cutaneous candidiasis and other superficial fungal infections. The action of terbinafine, its active ingredient, is based on the inhibition of ergosterol synthesis, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane, which leads to the death of the fungus. It is important that the treatment is carried out for the time recommended by the physician to ensure its effectiveness and prevent relapses.

Composition

Each gram of cream contains 10 mg of terbinafine (1% w/v) as the active ingredient. Excipients: cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, purified water, among others.

Contraindications

This medicine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to terbinafine or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in children under 12 years of age. Caution should be exercised in patients with severe liver or kidney diseases.

Precautions

Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. If irritation or an allergic reaction occurs, discontinue treatment and consult a doctor. It is important not to apply the cream to open wounds or secondary bacterial infections.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep in a dry place and protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
