Indications

Lamisil Cream is indicated for the treatment of dermal infections caused by fungi, including tinea (ringworm) in different body locations, such as tinea pedis (athlete's foot), tinea cruris (jock itch), and tinea corporis (body ringworm). It is also effective in the treatment of cutaneous candidiasis and other fungal dermatoses. Terbinafine acts by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane, which leads to the death of the fungus and the resolution of the infection. It is recommended to apply the cream to the affected area once a day, for the period indicated by the doctor, generally between 1 and 2 weeks, depending on the severity of the infection.

Composition

Each 100 g of Lamisil Cream contains: Terbinafine (as hydrochloride) 1 g. Excipients: Cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, propylene glycol, purified water, among others.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to terbinafine or any component of the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe liver or kidney diseases.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when used in patients with liver or kidney diseases. Do not apply to large areas of skin or mucous membranes. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation or an allergic reaction occurs, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
