Indications

Lamcord is indicated for conscious sedation and anesthesia induction in surgical and diagnostic procedures, as well as in patients requiring intensive care. It is used for sedation in the context of outpatient procedures and in the intensive care unit. Additionally, it is indicated in the therapy of status epilepticus and in the short-term treatment of severe insomnia. Its use must be supervised by a trained healthcare professional, who will determine the ideal dose and frequency of administration for each patient.

Composition

Each Lamcord ampoule contains: Midazolam 15 mg, excipients q.s. for 3 ml.

Contraindications

Lamcord is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to midazolam or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be administered in cases of severe respiratory failure, apnea, or in patients with untreated obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. Its use should be cautious in patients with a history of substance abuse, as well as in those with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Precautions

Special caution should be exercised in elderly patients, in those with cardiovascular diseases, or in those who are receiving other medications that may depress the central nervous system. The administration of Lamcord must be carried out by trained personnel, and continuous monitoring of the patient is recommended during and after its use.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Protect from light. Keep out of reach of children.
