Indications
Krytantek Ofteno is indicated for the treatment of open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension in patients with glaucoma. This medication works through the combination of three active ingredients: dorzolamide, which reduces the production of aqueous humor; timolol, a beta-blocker that decreases the production of intraocular fluid; and brimonidine, which increases the drainage of aqueous humor. Its use is essential in patients who require effective control of intraocular pressure to prevent damage to the optic nerve and preserve vision.
Composition
Each milliliter of Krytantek Ofteno contains: 20 mg of dorzolamide, 5 mg of timolol, and 2 mg of brimonidine. Excipients: sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid, purified water.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, as well as in those with bronchial asthma, severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bradycardia, second and third-degree heart block, or severe heart failure. Its use is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation without medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with cardiovascular diseases, respiratory disorders, diabetes mellitus, and kidney function problems. It is advisable to monitor intraocular pressure and cardiac function during treatment. Simultaneous use of other ophthalmic medications should be avoided unless indicated by a doctor.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep the bottle tightly closed and protected from light. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
