Indications
Kriadex (Clonazepam) is indicated in the treatment of anxiety disorders, panic disorders, and as an adjunctive therapy in the treatment of certain types of epilepsy. Its main action is that of an anxiolytic and anticonvulsant, which makes it useful in the management of acute anxiety episodes and in the prevention of seizures. In addition, it can be used in the management of some conditions related to insomnia and in the treatment of movement disorders where a muscle relaxing effect is required.
Composition
Each Kriadex tablet contains 2 mg of Clonazepam as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that facilitate the formulation and stability of the medication.
Contraindications
Kriadex is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Clonazepam or any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered in cases of severe respiratory insufficiency, sleep apnea syndrome, or in patients with a history of substance abuse. Its use is also contraindicated in pregnant or breastfeeding women, unless the benefits outweigh the potential risks.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Kriadex to patients with a history of depression, liver or kidney disease, and those undergoing treatment with other central nervous system depressants. It is important to monitor patients for possible adverse effects, especially at the beginning of treatment and with dose changes. Abrupt discontinuation of treatment is recommended to be avoided, as it can cause withdrawal symptoms.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature (between 15 and 30 °C), protected from light and humidity. Keep out of reach of children.
