Indications
Kriadex (Clonazepam) is indicated for the treatment of anxiety disorders, panic disorders, and as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of epileptic seizures. Its action is based on the potentiation of the activity of the gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) neurotransmitter, which produces a sedative and anxiolytic effect. This medication can be used in the management of sleep disorders related to anxiety and also in cases of muscle spasms.
Composition
Each Kriadex tablet contains 2 mg of Clonazepam as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients such as lactose, starch, and microcrystalline cellulose.
Contraindications
Kriadex is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to clonazepam or any of the excipients in the formulation. Additionally, its use is not recommended in patients with severe respiratory insufficiency, sleep apnea syndrome, or in those with a history of substance abuse or dependence. It is also contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding, unless deemed necessary by a physician.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Kriadex to patients with a history of depression, liver disorders, or those who operate heavy machinery or vehicles. Prolonged use may lead to tolerance and dependence, so continuous medical supervision is recommended. Alcohol intake should be avoided during treatment, as it may enhance the sedative effects of the medication.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
