Indications
Klaricid Hp is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by clarithromycin-susceptible microorganisms. These include, but are not limited to, the following conditions:
- Upper respiratory tract infections, such as acute sinusitis and pharyngitis.
- Lower respiratory tract infections, such as acute bronchitis and community-acquired pneumonia.
- Skin and soft tissue infections, including abscesses and cellulitis.
- Eradication of Helicobacter pylori in patients with peptic ulcer disease.
It is essential that this medication be used under the supervision of a physician, who will determine the need and the appropriate treatment regimen for each patient.
Composition
Each Klaricid Hp tablet contains 500 mg of clarithromycin as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients necessary for the product's formulation.
Contraindications
Klaricid Hp is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to clarithromycin or any of the formula's components. It is also contraindicated in patients receiving terfenadine, astemizole, cisapride, or in those with a history of QT interval prolongation or cardiac arrhythmias.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with liver or kidney diseases or in those taking other medications that may interact with clarithromycin. Appropriate clinical monitoring during treatment is recommended.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
