Indications

Klaricid HP is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by clarithromycin-susceptible microorganisms. It is effective in the treatment of upper and lower respiratory tract infections, such as sinusitis, pneumonia, and bronchitis. It is also used in the treatment of skin and soft tissue infections, as well as in the eradication of Helicobacter pylori in combination with other medications for the treatment of peptic ulcers. Its use is recommended in patients with infections due to susceptible strains of Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and Mycoplasma pneumoniae.

Composition

Each Klaricid HP capsule contains 500 mg of clarithromycin as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that aid in the formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

Klaricid HP is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to clarithromycin, other macrolide antibiotics, or any of the product's excipients. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe renal insufficiency or those receiving certain medications that may interact with clarithromycin.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease. It is important to evaluate liver function before starting treatment. During treatment, patients should be monitored for signs of adverse reactions, especially those with risk factors for developing side effects. Concomitant administration with medications that prolong the QT interval is recommended to be avoided.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
