Indications

Kedrialb is indicated in patients requiring treatment with human albumin, which is essential for maintaining oncotic pressure in the plasma and assisting in blood volume regulation. It is used in various clinical situations, such as:

  • Treatment of hypoproteinemia, especially in cases of nephrotic syndrome, severe burns, or extensive surgery.
  • Treatment of hypovolemic or hemorrhagic shock, where it is necessary to restore intravascular volume.
  • Acute or chronic liver diseases that present with a decrease in albumin levels.
  • As part of therapy in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).

Composition

Each vial of Kedrialb contains 12.5 g of human albumin in a saline solution. The concentration of the solution is 25%. This formulation allows for proper administration and absorption in the body.

Contraindications

Kedrialb is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to human albumin or any of the formulation components. It is also contraindicated in situations of volume overload and in cases of renal failure without dialysis.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with heart conditions, as albumin administration can lead to volume overload. It is important to monitor blood pressure levels and renal function during treatment. Administration must be performed by trained medical personnel.

Storage

Store Kedrialb at a temperature between 2°C and 25°C. Protect from light and freezing. Keep out of reach of children.
