Indications

Karet is indicated for the treatment of hypothyroidism in adults and children. It is also used in suppression therapy in patients with nodular goiter and in the treatment of some forms of thyroid cancer. Levothyroxine sodium helps restore adequate hormone levels in the body, thereby improving metabolism and energy function. It is important that treatment is initiated under medical supervision to adjust the dose according to the individual needs of the patient.

Composition

Each Karet tablet contains 150 µg of Levothyroxine Sodium and excipients.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to levothyroxine sodium or any of the excipients. It should not be used in cases of acute myocardial infarction, untreated adrenal disease, or subacute thyroiditis. Caution should be exercised in patients with cardiovascular diseases or psychiatric disorders.

Precautions

Regular medical follow-up is recommended during treatment, especially in older patients or those with a history of heart disease. It is important to inform the doctor about any additional medications the patient is taking, as they may interact with levothyroxine. Likewise, special care should be taken in adjusting the dose in case of significant changes in the patient's body weight.

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from light and humidity. Keep out of reach of children.
