Indications

Karet is indicated in the treatment of hypothyroidism, which is a condition in which the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormone. This medication is also used as replacement therapy in patients who have undergone total or partial thyroidectomy, as well as in the treatment of goiters and some types of thyroid cancer. Levothyroxine sodium works by increasing the levels of thyroid hormones in the body, which helps regulate metabolism and cell growth.

Composition

Each Karet tablet contains 100 mcg of levothyroxine sodium as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients that facilitate the formulation and absorption of the medication.

Contraindications

Karet is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to levothyroxine sodium or any of the product's excipients. It should not be used in cases of untreated hyperthyroidism or in patients with untreated adrenal disease. Caution should also be exercised in patients with cardiovascular diseases, especially those with a history of myocardial infarction or angina pectoris.

Precautions

Regular monitoring of hormone levels is recommended in patients undergoing Karet treatment. The dose should be adjusted according to clinical response and laboratory tests, especially in elderly patients or those with chronic diseases. Likewise, concomitant use of certain medications that may interfere with the absorption or metabolism of levothyroxine should be avoided.

Storage

Store Karet at room temperature, in a cool, dry place, protected from light and humidity. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
