Indications
Isoket is indicated for the treatment of angina pectoris, as well as for the prevention of anginal episodes in patients with coronary artery disease. This medication acts as a vasodilator, which improves blood flow to the heart and reduces the workload on it. It is also used in cases of heart failure and for the management of hypertension in certain situations. Its use is recommended as part of a comprehensive treatment that includes lifestyle modifications and other medications as indicated by the physician.
Composition
Each 10 ml of Isoket solution contains: 10 mg of Isosorbide Dinitrate and excipients necessary for its formulation.
Contraindications
Isoket is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to isosorbide dinitrate or other nitrates. It should not be administered in cases of severe hypotension, severe anemia, cardiogenic shock, or in patients who are being treated with phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors (such as sildenafil) due to the risk of severe hypotension.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of recent myocardial infarction, glaucoma, or conditions that require careful monitoring of blood pressure. It is important to inform your doctor about any other medications the patient is taking, as well as their complete medical history before starting treatment with Isoket.
