Indications

Inhepar is indicated in the treatment and prevention of venous and arterial thromboembolism. It is used in patients requiring anticoagulation, such as those with deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, and in surgical situations involving a high risk of clot formation. It is also used to prevent coagulation in catheters and vascular access devices. Heparin acts by inhibiting fibrin formation, which decreases the blood's clotting ability and prevents the formation of new clots, as well as the expansion of existing ones.

Composition

Each ml of Inhepar contains sodium heparin equivalent to 5000 anti-Xa units. In addition, the necessary excipient for product formulation is included.

Contraindications

Inhepar is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to heparin or any of its components, as well as in those with active bleeding or conditions that increase the risk of bleeding, such as bleeding disorders, uncontrolled hypertension, or recent surgery in sites where bleeding could be severe.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of peptic ulcer, severe liver or kidney disease, and in those using other medications that may increase the risk of bleeding. Regular monitoring of clotting time should be performed, as well as evaluation of renal and hepatic function during treatment.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Protect from light and keep out of reach of children.
