Indications
Inhepar is indicated for the prophylaxis and treatment of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. It is also used in situations requiring anticoagulation, such as in patients with acute myocardial infarction and during surgical or interventional procedures where anticoagulation is required. Heparin acts by inhibiting blood clotting, which helps prevent the formation of clots that can obstruct blood vessels and cause serious complications.
Composition
Each mL of Inhepar contains Heparin sodium 1000 Units/mL.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to heparin or any of its components. It should not be administered to patients with uncontrolled active bleeding, severe heparin-induced thrombocytopenia, or those requiring nervous tissue or eye surgery.
Precautions
Caution is advised in patients with a history of bleeding, uncontrolled hypertension, or liver and kidney diseases. It is important to monitor coagulation levels during treatment and adjust the dose as needed. Care should also be taken in elderly patients and those taking other drugs that may increase the risk of bleeding.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30°C. Protect from light and keep out of reach of children.
