Indications

Infatadalina is a medication indicated for the treatment of diseases that require the use of somatostatin analogs, such as acromegaly, certain neuroendocrine tumors, and diarrhea associated with these conditions. Its mechanism of action is based on the inhibition of hormone secretion and other gastrointestinal peptides, which helps control the symptoms of these pathologies. It is also used in the management of complications associated with Cushing's disease and in the treatment of some types of cancer where effective hormonal production control is required.

Composition

Each ampoule of Infatadalina contains: 1 mg of Octreotide, in addition to excipients necessary for its formulation and stability.

Contraindications

Infatadalina is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to octreotide or to any of the components of the formulation. It should not be administered in cases of severe liver or biliary system diseases, or in patients with a history of pancreatitis. Caution should be exercised when used in patients with thyroid problems.

Precautions

It is recommended to evaluate the patient's condition before starting treatment with Infatadalina. It should be used with caution in individuals with diabetes mellitus, as it may alter glucose levels. Regular monitoring of thyroid function and metabolic status is suggested. Furthermore, it is important to inform the doctor about all medications the patient is taking, as well as any pre-existing medical conditions.

Storage

Infatadalina should be stored at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Protect from light and keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
