Indications
Incresina P is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. It is used in combination with diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in patients who do not achieve adequate control with metformin alone, or in those who have metformin intolerance. This medication works by reducing blood glucose levels by stimulating insulin secretion and decreasing hepatic glucose production. It is important to note that the use of Incresina P should be part of a comprehensive plan that includes lifestyle changes.
Composition
Each Incresina P tablet contains 25 mg of Alogliptin and 15 mg of Pioglitazone, as well as necessary excipients for the tablet formulation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of congestive heart failure or in those with conditions that may predispose to fluid retention. Additionally, it is contraindicated in patients with active or severe liver disease and in those with a history of bladder cancer.
Precautions
Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels and liver function is necessary during treatment with Incresina P. Patients with a history of heart failure, kidney disease, or liver disease should be carefully evaluated before starting treatment. It is suggested that periodic tests be performed to detect signs of adverse effects and complications related to treatment.
