Indications
Incresina P is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, as an adjunct to diet and exercise, to improve glycemic control. This medication combines the action of two molecules: Alogliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor, which helps to increase the amount of insulin produced by the body in response to meals, and Pioglitazone, which improves insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues. It is used in patients who do not achieve adequate control with metformin alone, or in combination with other oral antidiabetics, or as monotherapy when metformin cannot be used.
Composition
Each tablet contains 25 mg of Alogliptin and 30 mg of Pioglitazone. Excipients: (list excipients if available).
Contraindications
Incresina P is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Alogliptin, Pioglitazone, or any component of the formula. It is not recommended for patients with type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Furthermore, its use is contraindicated in those with a history of congestive heart failure or severe liver disease.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with renal, cardiac, or hepatic impairment, as well as in those with a history of edema or heart failure. Regular monitoring of liver and kidney function, as well as blood glucose levels, is recommended.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
