Indications

Incresina Duo is indicated for the treatment of adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, as an adjunct to diet and exercise, to improve glycemic control. This medication is used in patients who have not achieved adequate glucose control with metformin alone or in combination with other oral antidiabetic agents. It can also be used in combination with insulin in patients who require additional glucose control.

Composition

Each tablet contains 12.5 mg of alogliptin and 850 mg of metformin. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, and other inactive excipients.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, in those with severe renal insufficiency, active liver disease, and in patients with a history of diabetic ketoacidosis.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with moderate renal insufficiency, heart failure, or a history of pancreatitis. Likewise, care should be taken in patients who have inadequate fluid intake or who are at risk of dehydration.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
