Indications
Imot Ofteno Drops is indicated for the treatment of open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. This medication works by reducing intraocular pressure by decreasing the production of aqueous humor in the eye. Its use is recommended in patients requiring continuous control of ocular pressure, especially in those diagnosed with glaucoma, as part of a therapeutic regimen that may include other medications to achieve adequate management of the condition.
Composition
Each ml of Imot Ofteno Drops contains 5 mg of timolol (as timolol maleate) as the active ingredient. Other excipients may include preservatives and stabilizers that facilitate the formulation and preservation of the product.
Contraindications
Imot Ofteno Drops is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to timolol or any of the formulation's components. It is also contraindicated in those with bronchial asthma, severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, severe bradycardia, second or third-degree heart block, and in patients with uncontrolled heart failure.
Precautions
The use of Imot Ofteno Drops should be carefully evaluated in patients with a history of respiratory diseases, heart disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, and in those who are being treated with other medications that may interact with timolol. Regular monitoring of intraocular pressure and evaluation of treatment response are recommended.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep the bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
