Indications
Iltux2Hct is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. Its combination of olmesartan, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, and hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic, provides a synergistic effect that helps lower blood pressure. This medication can be used in patients who do not achieve adequate blood pressure control with monotherapy, as well as in those who require combination therapy.
Composition
Each Iltux2Hct tablet contains 40 mg of olmesartan medoxomil and 25 mg of hydrochlorothiazide as active ingredients. Additionally, it contains excipients such as corn starch, talc, and other inactive compounds that facilitate the formulation of the medicine.
Contraindications
Iltux2Hct is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to olmesartan, hydrochlorothiazide, or any component of the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of angioedema related to previous ACE inhibitor treatments, in those with anuria, and in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of kidney, liver, or electrolyte problems. It is important to monitor potassium levels and renal function during treatment, as well as to regularly assess blood pressure. In diabetic patients, special care should be taken when combining this medication with other antihypertensives or medications that affect renal function.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
