Indications
Iltux2Hct is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension in adults. The combination of olmesartan, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, and hydrochlorothiazide, a diuretic, provides a synergistic effect that contributes to blood pressure reduction. This medication can be used in patients who do not achieve adequate blood pressure control with monotherapy, as well as in those who require more potent antihypertensive treatment.
Composition
Each Iltux2Hct tablet contains 20 mg of olmesartan medoxomil and 12.5 mg of hydrochlorothiazide as active ingredients. It also contains excipients that facilitate the formulation and stability of the product.
Contraindications
Iltux2Hct is not recommended for use in patients with known hypersensitivity to the components of the formula, in those with a history of angioedema related to previous treatments with angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, or in patients with anuria. It is also contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Iltux2Hct to patients with a history of liver or kidney disease, as well as in those undergoing diuretic treatments. It is important to monitor renal function and blood electrolytes during treatment. The use of this medication in elderly patients may require dose adjustments and closer monitoring.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
