Indications

Iltux is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. This medication works by blocking angiotensin II receptors, which causes blood vessel dilation and, consequently, a reduction in blood pressure. It can also be used in patients with heart failure and in those who require blood pressure reduction to decrease the risk of cardiovascular events.

Composition

Each Iltux tablet contains 20 mg of olmesartan medoxomil as the active ingredient, as well as the necessary excipients for the medication's formulation.

Contraindications

Iltux is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to olmesartan or any component of the formula. Likewise, it should not be administered during pregnancy or lactation. Patients with bilateral renal artery stenosis or stenosis in a single kidney should also avoid its use.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of hepatic or renal insufficiency, or in those undergoing treatment with diuretics. It is advisable to periodically monitor renal function and blood potassium levels, especially at the start of treatment. Furthermore, the possibility of adverse effects in elderly patients should be considered.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
