Indications
Ifa Norex is indicated for the treatment of mood disorders, specifically in cases of major depression and anxiety disorders. Amfepramone acts as a serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, which helps improve mood and reduce feelings of anguish. Additionally, it is used in the management of obesity in overweight patients, by helping to decrease appetite and promote weight loss in combination with an appropriate diet and exercise plan. It is important that the use of this medication be supervised by a healthcare professional to ensure its effectiveness and safety.
Composition
Each Ifa Norex tablet contains 50 mg of amfepramone as the active ingredient, as well as excipients such as corn starch, lactose, and other inactive components that facilitate the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to amfepramone or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be administered to people with a history of seizure disorders, severe cardiovascular diseases, or those being treated with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). Additionally, its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Ifa Norex to patients with a history of substance abuse, psychiatric disorders, or those at risk of suicide.
