Indications
Ifa Lose is indicated as part of a comprehensive weight management program in obese or overweight patients. Its use should be complemented with an appropriate diet and exercise regimen. Mazindol acts as an appetite suppressant, helping to reduce caloric intake. This medication is recommended for those who have failed to lose weight through non-pharmacological methods and who have a body mass index (BMI) greater than 30, or greater than 27 in the presence of comorbidities associated with overweight. It is important that its use be supervised by a physician, who will determine the appropriate duration and dosage according to the patient's needs.
Composition
Each Ifa Lose tablet contains 2 mg of mazindol as the active ingredient. Excipients: lactose, starch, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to mazindol or any of the excipients. It should not be used in patients with uncontrolled hypertension, severe cardiovascular diseases, glaucoma, prostatic hyperplasia, or in those who are being treated with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). It is also contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of psychiatric disorders, epilepsy, or in those who consume alcohol or medications that affect the central nervous system. It is recommended to evaluate cardiovascular function and periodically monitor blood pressure during treatment.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
