Indications

Ifa Acxion (Phentermine) is indicated as an adjunct to a weight reduction program in obese patients. Its use is appropriate in combination with a hypocaloric diet and physical exercise, and is particularly useful for those with a body mass index (BMI) equal to or greater than 30 kg/m² or a BMI of 27 kg/m² in the presence of obesity-associated comorbidities, such as diabetes or hypertension. Phentermine acts as an appetite suppressant, working on the central nervous system to help reduce hunger and, consequently, caloric intake.

Composition

Each Ifa Acxion tablet contains 15 mg of phentermine as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that facilitate the formulation and stability of the product.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to phentermine or to any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in patients with cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled hypertension, glaucoma, thyroid hyperactivity, or a history of substance abuse. Its use is not recommended during pregnancy or lactation.
