Indications
Ifa Acxion is indicated as an adjunct in weight reduction programs for overweight or obese adults, together with a diet and exercise regimen. Phentermine acts as an appetite suppressant, helping to control caloric intake. This medication is generally prescribed for patients who have not achieved weight loss through non-pharmacological methods and who have health risks due to their overweight.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Phentermine 6.4 mg, excipients: starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate.
Contraindications
Ifa Acxion should not be used in patients with a history of pulmonary hypertension, cardiovascular disease, hyperthyroidism, glaucoma, or in those sensitive to phentermine or any of the components of the formula. Furthermore, it is contraindicated in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Precautions
The use of Ifa Acxion requires medical supervision, especially in patients with a history of substance abuse, psychiatric illnesses, or cardiovascular problems. Caution should be exercised in diabetic patients, as it may affect blood glucose levels. Prolonged use of the medication is not recommended, and the efficacy and need to continue treatment should be periodically re-evaluated.
