Indications
Humalog Mix 25 is a medication indicated for the treatment of type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus in patients who require insulin for the control of their blood glucose levels. This medication combines rapid-acting insulin (lispro) and an intermediate-acting insulin, which allows for more effective glucose control after meals and throughout the day. Its use is recommended in patients who do not achieve adequate glycemic control with other oral antidiabetic drugs or in those who require insulin therapy from diagnosis.
Composition
Each pre-filled pen of Humalog Mix 25 contains insulin lispro and other excipients that facilitate its administration and stability. The total insulin concentration is 100 units per milliliter.
Contraindications
Humalog Mix 25 is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to insulin lispro or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in cases of diabetic ketoacidosis without proper fluid and electrolyte administration.
Precautions
Special care should be taken in patients with kidney or liver diseases, as well as in those with a history of hypoglycemia. Frequent monitoring of blood glucose levels is essential to avoid episodes of hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia. It is recommended to adjust the insulin dose in situations of stress, infections, or changes in diet and physical activity.
Storage
Humalog Mix 25 should be stored refrigerated between 2 °C and 8 °C. Do not freeze. Once opened, it can be kept at room temperature (not exceeding 30 °C) and must be used within 28 days after opening.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
