Indications
Histiacil Nf Ad Syrup is a medication indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with respiratory diseases that involve coughing, such as the common cold, acute bronchitis, and other respiratory conditions. Its formula combines Dextromethorphan, an antitussive that helps suppress dry cough, and Ambroxol, a mucolytic that facilitates the expulsion of bronchial secretions. This combination not only controls the cough but also improves respiratory function by reducing the viscosity of mucus in the airways.
Composition
Each 5 ml of syrup contains: Dextromethorphan 225 mg and Ambroxol 225 mg.
Contraindications
Histiacil Nf Ad Syrup is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe respiratory diseases such as bronchial asthma or respiratory failure, as well as in those undergoing treatment with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).
Precautions
Special care should be taken in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease, as well as in those with peptic ulcers. Prolonged use or high doses of Dextromethorphan can lead to dependence; therefore, it is crucial to follow the doctor's instructions. It should not be used in combination with other medications containing Dextromethorphan.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
