Indications
Histiacil Fam is a medication indicated for the treatment of respiratory conditions accompanied by a cough, especially those requiring a mucolytic and antitussive effect. This medication is useful in managing symptoms associated with colds, flu, and other respiratory infections, facilitating the expulsion of secretions and alleviating airway irritation. Guaifenesin acts as an expectorant, helping to thin bronchial secretions, while oxolamine provides an antitussive effect, reducing the frequency and intensity of coughing.
Composition
Each 5 ml of solution contains: Guaifenesin 2.5 g and Oxolamine 1.25 g. Excipients: purified water, preservatives, and flavorings.
Contraindications
Histiacil Fam should not be administered to patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the formula's components. It is contraindicated in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to other medications of the same class. Its use is not recommended in children under 2 years of age without medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using this medication in patients with chronic respiratory diseases, as well as in those with a history of gastrointestinal problems. It is important to avoid concomitant use with other antitussives, as this may hinder the expulsion of secretions. It is recommended to consult a doctor if persistent or worsening symptoms appear.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
