Indications
Hidrasec is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhea in adults and children over 3 months of age. Its action is based on reducing intestinal secretion, helping to restore fluid and electrolyte balance in the body. This medication is especially useful in cases of uncomplicated diarrhea, contributing to a reduction in the frequency of bowel movements and relief of associated gastrointestinal discomfort. It is important to note that Hidrasec should not be used in cases of diarrhea caused by bacterial or parasitic infections, nor in situations requiring specific treatment.
Composition
Each sachet of Hidrasec contains 10 mg of racecadotril as the active ingredient. Excipients: maltodextrin, natural flavoring, citric acid, among others.
Contraindications
Hidrasec is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to racecadotril or any of the excipients in the formula. It is also contraindicated in cases of diarrhea with high fever or blood in the stool, as well as in patients with severe renal insufficiency.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with chronic gastrointestinal diseases or a history of intestinal obstruction. It is advisable to monitor patients who show signs of severe dehydration and ensure they receive adequate fluid and electrolyte replacement. In patients with liver or kidney diseases, it is recommended to consult a doctor before starting treatment.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
