Indications
Hidrasec (Racecadotril) is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhea in adults and children older than 3 months. Its use is recommended in cases of viral or bacterial diarrhea, helping to reduce the duration and severity of diarrheal episodes. Racecadotril acts at the intestinal level, reducing intestinal secretion of water and electrolytes, which contributes to the normalization of intestinal function.
Composition
Each Hidrasec capsule contains 100 mg of racecadotril as the active ingredient. Excipients include: starch, microcrystalline cellulose, talc, and magnesium stearate.
Contraindications
Hidrasec is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to racecadotril or any of the product's excipients. Its use is not recommended in cases of diarrhea associated with bacterial infections with high fever or presence of blood in the stools, nor in patients with severe renal insufficiency.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Hidrasec in patients with severe dehydration or in those with chronic gastrointestinal diseases. It is important to monitor patients to prevent dehydration and consider oral or intravenous rehydration as needed. Before starting treatment, it is recommended to assess the patient's general condition and consider the underlying cause of the diarrhea.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
